West Devon Working to Keep Services Operating

(March 03, 2018)

West Devon Borough Council’s refuse and recycling collections are operating as usual, where it is safe and accessible to do so.

Due to the adverse weather the Council has closed its offices to the public at Kilworthy Park. However, staff are working remotely to provide as normal a service as possible.

The Council are encouraging all residents to keep an eye on their website and follow them on social media @WestDevon_BC and listen to local radio stations where regular updates will be provided.  If your refuse or recycling is not collected as normal, please be patient and collections will be made as soon as possible.

If you are concerned about someone at risk of rough sleeping during severe weather please contact us on 01822 813600 in normal working hours.  If it is outside normal office hours please call our emergency out-of-hours service on 0800 1694217.

Due to the extreme weather, the Joint Local Plan Examination at Kilworthy Park, scheduled for today, has been postponed.  The Examiner is hoping to hold the West Devon session later in March and this will be confirmed at a later date.

If you have neighbours without access to the website or social media, please pass on any messages that might affect them.
